Mayor Butts is Moving inglewood forward!
Under Mayor Butts’ leadership, Inglewood has experienced a renaissance
and our future has never been brighter
OPPORTUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
For too long, Inglewood was overlooked despite our tremendous potential. Mayor Butts always believed that Inglewood would become a place where businesses invest, families thrive, and residents have new opportunities close to home.
Under Mayor Butts’ leadership, Inglewood has experienced the most significant economic development transformation in our history. His leadership attracted billions of dollars in investment, redeveloping Hollywood Park into a world-class mixed-use destination, bringing SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome to the City, and restoring the Kia Forum as the Los Angeles region’s top concert destination.
These investments have created thousands of jobs, expanded opportunities for local businesses, strengthened the city’s financial footing, and positioned Inglewood to continue to grow and deliver for its residents for generations to come.
HOUSING & AFFORDABILITY
Inglewood is growing, and it should continue to be an affordable home for all of us who built this community. Mayor Butts has worked to protect residents while ensuring Inglewood grows fairly and responsibly.
His administration has supported renter protections, expanded affordable housing opportunities, strengthened protections against unlawful evictions, and established a Rental Housing Board to advocate for residents at the city level. Mayor Butts also knows that new community members are coming to Inglewood. To ensure those that built this community can stay in their homes, Mayor Butts has been a champion of responsible development that contributes to stronger, more sustainable communities for our future and our future kids.
At the same time, due to the increase in property values under Mayor Butts’ administration, Inglewood property owners now have generational wealth to pass on to their children that now rivals the adjacent, affluent South Bay and upscale L.A. neighborhoods.
SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITIES
Everyone deserves to feel safe where they live, work, and raise a family. Keeping our neighborhoods safe has always been one of Mayor Butt’s top priorities because strong communities begin with public safety.
Drawing on more than four decades of experience as a law enforcement professional, Mayor Butts has made smart investments in police services, emergency preparedness, and regional partnerships. His leadership has helped Inglewood safely host some of the world’s biggest events while maintaining a focus on keeping the residents that call Inglewood home safe.
INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRANSPORTATION
As Inglewood grows, residents deserve streets, sidewalks, and transportation that keeps up with our success. Mayor Butts believes growth should make it easier, not harder, for people to get around.
Through his leadership in Inglewood and on the Los Angeles Metro Board of Directors, Mayor Butts has fought for Inglewood’s fair share of infrastructure and transportation projects to get people from their home to work and to their doctor. While Inglewood’s success has brought more people to our community, it has also created opportunities to modernize public transportation and neighborhood infrastructure.
NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITY
Growth matters when it improves the everyday lives of the people who call Inglewood home. Mayor Butts has always believed that Inglewood should be measured by how strong its neighborhoods are just as much as its new investments.
That’s why his administration has continued to invest in neighborhood streets, parks, recreation facilities, and community services for families, youth, and seniors. From expanding the Residential Sound Insulation Program for homes near LAX to improved public spaces and infrastructure, Mayor Butts has worked to ensure that every resident in Inglewood benefits from our progress.
